Half Bike, Half Treadmill

That circling pedal motion got you down?
Do you love running but your knees hurt?
Do you hate long days in the saddle?

Then the perfect bike…err…contraption exists for you - the Elliptigo Glide Bike. I came across this innovative machine and the video below at Bike Hacks, a great blog which always has interesting posts on the strange and wonderful things people do to their bikes.

This looks like a wonderfully engineered machine and probably a whole lot of fun. Now I just need to figure out where to put my bike rack and panniers.

That looks cool. Well the guy riding it doesn’t look cool but I like the idea.

I had this idea a while ago but it is interesting to see it in use. It seems a little big and heavy.

But for someone who has a hard time getting used to a bicycle seat maybe this is the answer.

I wonder how a guy over 250 would look on that. Probably like a peanut M&M in a dryer.

I think it would be hard to use this if you weren’t pretty fit already. It looks like hard work…but fun.
